Alternator Bolt Saga 900 1992

Took off to see the two granddaughters last Sunday and got an ABS light followed by a SRS light followed by sagging power. I pulled into a parking lot and discovered that the alternator belt was mega loose. Went to tighten it and found that the tightening bolt had sheared or fatigued off.

Went back tonight with plan A of levering up the alternator and holding it with just the big bolt at the top to get home. Found out that the big bolt/nut on top will turn both ways but neither tighten nor loosen. Suspect the nut inside threads have gone.

Went to plan B and moved the tightening bolt from the (unused right now) AC compressor up to the alternator. Tightened the belt and got home.

I will dremel off the nut and investigate next. However, I don't want to do that until I have a replacement bolt and nut.
Does anyone know the size for the big alternator bolt. I looked at one of my 240's and they seemed to have a different arrangement.
