The wiring diagram I have for my 81 245 k jet shows 7 wires to the relay. I have nine. The extras are on position 87b two blue wires,and position 31b two white/red wires. Could someone tell me the use of the extra blue wire and the extra white/red wire? thanks

Those wiring diagrams never show you all the wires physically, only schematically. That means the points of physical connection are not always accurately depicted, but the electrical connections usually are. Beside that, the breakout drawings of individual systems are riddled with errors.

The "extra" white/red is probably the tach lead, because it is taken off inside the car. I can't tell you whether the AAV and the CPR get a separate blue wire from inside or it splits out under the hood like it shows in connector "C" so you may have a puzzler there.
