Nails are pretty cheap 200

I tend to agree with the ride height for the same reasons...one of my favorite things about the 240 is that I run it down a dirt track without fear, drive through relatively deep puddles and with decent tires, outperform all the jacked up trucks in the snow. I also love not having to slow down to RR tracks but that is just because we have a gazillion of them around here.

That being said, lowering a 240 by cutting coils will likely not give you a modern look. The car has WAY too much sidewall (which I also love) with the stock 14" or 15" wheels and the actual wheel arches are HUGE compared to most modern cars. So in addition to your lowering you will need 16" wheels with much lower profile tires and some sort of wheel well skirting to reduce the visual impact of the arches.

A properly lowered 240 can improve cornering performance in conjunction with other upgrades but just cutting coils will likely only degrade ride quality.
