Headlight lens 200 1989

For a clouded up headlight lens, what's the best option in anyone's opinion?... Replacing just the lens, or the entire assembly?... It's seriously clouded, like beyond repair cloudy. We've already replaced one headlight with a Uro part... Now the decision is whether or not to get another one, or just a replacement lens. Any thoughts? The assembly on the lamp in question is functioning properly and not broken.

    Headlight lens-3M lens restore kit 200 1989

    Hi,

If I were you I would try one of the restore kits. I have used the 3M kit that you can buy at Advance, Autozone, maybe even Walmart for around $18. I used it o my 90 244 headlights. Both were very yellow and cloudy. They give you enough paper for your electric drill that you will have some left over for later. My lenses had come unglued so I did the repair with the lenses off the car. But you can do it with them on the car, just tape things off with layers of newspaper and masking tape.

I think it would be worth a try considering $$ for assemblies or the hassle/risk of prying the lenses from the assembly.

    Hope that helps,

    Travis
