I know this is a stupid quesion but by front strut is leaking and i am researching replacement options.
everywhere has the "EXC. Self leveling nivomat" attached to the descriptions i find for the replacement front struts. so the question is does my 940 SE take the same front strut as a regular 940 or did VOLVO use some crazy expensive strut just to make my life miserable? ( i know its not personal and its supposed to be a performance thing but COME ON! give me a break for once!)
Thank you for indulging my vent and random insignificant question.

    It's certainly not a stupid question. I think the listings are misleading. Any of the quality front strut inserts--I've seen Boge, KYB Gas-A-Just, and Meyle listed for the SE---same as all the other models. It's in the rear that you'll have to face the music when the time comes. I had a '92 940 Turbo with the nivomats -- the car would sag in the rear overnight but after a few minutes of driving it'd be at proper height -- car had 175k. When that time comes you either have to shell out--or swap out the springs and go with regular shocks. -- Dave
