Found likely source of miss and definite source of mileage drop - Leak at Pump 200 1984

Hey all. So I moved my 84 244 to drive my 90 740 and found a glob of gunk under the parking space. There was fuel dripping down from the fuel pump cage, and I'm thinking this means plugged filter. I'll pull it down and check it, but I think I should order a new filter first. Any comments?

I've seen my mileage drop from 25 to about 17-18 since this problem cropped up last spring. I barely drive up here at school (<5 miles twice a week and back home once), so it has not really been a priority for me, but it sure is now!

Happy Bricking

PS Power steering pump brackets work best with ALL the bolts installed :D

I wouldn't suspect the filter. First take a look at the pump and the feed line.

Sounds like you plan to do so.

Note the replies. Others have had the same experience. I hope it turns out to be that simple for you, too.
