How much additional air flow from the modified chainsaw method? 200

I performed the chainsaw method on my 1990 240 last year. My daughter is complaining about how difficult it is to defrost the windshield. I closed the two left side vents and it helped, but I am wondering if it is worth the effort to add the funnel to partially replace the venturi?

I tried the system without the funnel / venturi and was really disappointed. Luckily I had the foresight to cut the centre out very neatly and it wasn't much trouble to put it back in place, held with a little silicone. In my opinion, the system needs that funnel. I live in Canada and use that defroster almost every time I drive the car after mid-November.

Thanks! Do you remember how long it took to add the funnel?

Because I added a removable "door" to the driver's side airbox, it was just a matter of minutes to get everything in place. Waiting for the silicone to dry was an overnight deal, I used duct tape to hold everything in place while it dried. I have since used that access to change out the resistor too. Some careful fishing and some tedious adjustments even got the grommet back in place (though I did reduce the diameter of the grommet that pops back in the hole.

Good to hear. I also added a "door' to the driers side. I used a piece of flexible flooring from Home Depot and glued it on. Hopefully it will come off reasonably easy.
