Volvo, like any manufacturer, changed plenty of things from year to year, but there a lot of parts that stayed the same. Certainly most of the drivetrain, interior trim items, body panels, and electrical items are interchangeable, but it depends on the specific part. For instance, I believe there was a significant change/upgrade to the brakes for 1993, so those earlier models would not be suitable cannibalization(?) candidates for yours.
You have a car that many Volvo'ists would say is the last and greatest of the 4-cylinder models, so enjoy it! Once you have some miles under your belt and identify specific items which you need or want, the board gurus can advise.
Look for the ignition coil and see if it is cylindrical with "Bosch" written on it, located on the passenger-side rear of the engine bay, or a rather square boxy unit, located - I think - on the driver side. If the former, you have the Bosch LH 2.4 engine system; the other is the Bendix "Rex-Regina". Both are fine, the Bosch is more common and has more parts and maintenance items available.
