Is it just me, or has anyone noticed that in many posts' subsequent threads on this 200 forum, there is a screwy reply from someone called gofastica, who is writing about some problems (apparently not in a Volvo) during a cross-country trip.

But the really crazy thing is that all his replies bear the subject line of the thread he's been inserted in, only the content is entirely unrelated.

I'm thinking that, somehow, the computer running this board has merged his content with the wrong subject line and inserted in in the wrong thread. Or something else?

He was doing this deliberately. He also sent me profane and threatening emails. He has been removed from the site and has been asked to go away for good.

This is only the second fool that rose to this level in 14 years. The last was the bimmer guy back in 2001.

I also tested the subscribe function and found nothing wrong with it. If anyone sees a problem, please let me know.

Yes. This childish fool has been emailing me as well. He has even resorted to veiled threats.

In 14 years, there have only been 2 that have risen to this level, including our buddy from Olympia, Washington.

Yeah, me too. It's more than a little annoying.

I put him on my "ignore" list, so at least now the content of his posts is shrunken down to one word (Ignored).

Actually, the poster in question has been problematic for a while. Check his profile and you will see this started about a month ago when he was unable to unsubscribe and has gotten uglier with each iteration.

Unsubscribe has nothing to do with it. At least not with this site.

These messages are from some sort of email list. How they are finding their way into the 200 forum is the mystery.

Yes, but he started a malicious campaign to get noticed that then devolved into the random posts from his other RSS feeds to prove his point about how annoying it is to be constantly emailed about stuff you do not care about.

Okay. I sort of get it, now. I think.

Malicious might be a bit of an overstatement.

He does have a legitimate grievance. Not the best way to handle it, though.
