I chased one down once. There is a connector plug under the carpet on the center slanted area between the dash and drivers seat. I pulled the drivers seat and lifted the carpet. Pushing it together and taping it for the future with electrical tape. I bet if you felt for a small lump in that area (drivers side of the gear shifter) you might see the light flicker or stop. (Sorry just woke up and I can't think too well)
