Opinions on Nordic brand harmonic balancer 200 1986

I'll be ready to install my "new" engine in my '86 this fall and was wondering if anyone out there had any experience with the Nordic brand of harmonic balancer?
eEuroparts.com has it for $60 and the OEM Volvo part for $253. I know to stay away from the ScanTech part. Any comments? Otherwise I'm off to the boneyard to pull one from a low mileage (135K) car with an original Volvo balancer on it.
Thanks for looking.

I would say go ahead and try one if you can't get a like new one from the bone yard, they are not that difficult to replace.

I've bought a couple from this guy.

Hi,
Were they actually made in Germany like the description said? How have they held up?

I have 2 of them installed for around 3 years on 2 different vehicles with approximately 10000 miles on each. Limited data but so far they seem good. They were nicely balanced and I do believe they were made in Germany.

Yama, That's pretty good news considering a lot of reports on aftermarket parts.

Bought some bushings about a month ago and I am pretty sure I picked up some torque rod bushings by Nordic, can't comment on them as I need to find the time for installation. But they looked pretty good from what I could tell.

I checked and the OEM part from Tasca is $200. I think if I were in your position Xraybob, I would go with either the Nordic brand or a brand new OEM, but that's considering I have always had terrible luck with the parts at the junkyard.
