1] does anyone have the part number for when Volvo sold the red corner lenses for the 240 sedans?That is what I've heard.
2] Does anyone know if these corner lenses are being made by some outside source?
I thought I saw some from china on ebay but can't seem to find it now.

Despite the recent BB post I am very dubious of the claim that Volvo offered any but the clear lens. If you have ever tried to remove one of the red lenses, it practically takes a plasma cutter to separate the lens from the black housing. I just doubt they would want to sell less than the whole unit in light of how these things are plastic welded together.

I know what you mean about removing the red lens,not esay.But when it is already broken,fewer pieces to mess with,then it gets a lttle easier.I was just curious about a replacement because I have a pair of taillights that are really nice,except for the broken outer red lens. I guess I'll just have to salvage the circiut board and back up light lens.

That lower-outer lens is, I think, the same for all 6-panel 240 tail lights. That means that a unit from 1982 to 1993 could provide a lens.

But one cheap, maybe damaged on a different lens, and have at removal and repair. I heard that glue could be loosened using OUTDOORS acetone.

Meanwhile using that red tape from Auto Zone (or suck like) carefully placed can work for a while. I used that stuff for many months until I found a replacement for a left tail light on my 965.
