Is there an M-47 transmission rebuilder who reigns supreme or has a solid reputation among the Brickboarders?

    Do not know where you are at for local shops or your level of skill. The local shop where the guys are muscle car drag racers and build their own transmissions for years is it. You may get by cheaper getting a pull-out from a dismantler or junk-yard. Pick n Pull in Stockton CA just had a sale and had an M-47 car in the line. (1-800-700-Volvo recycler wants $500 plus shipping.) At least this will give you an idea of what to do.
