Does anybody know how to make the banner go away? It gets in the way of the user login box.

You can always try resizing the window or using the tab key to get to the login boxes :)

This isn't the best solution as brickboard gets ad revenue from those ads, but firefox with the adblock plus add-on will make most adds (including the top banner) disappear.

Another way of making the ads go away is to make a contribution to the costly operation
of the Brickboard. It is NOT free and Jarrod uses them as a way to subsidize the costs
of operation.
