I have a a V-90 and the key-less entry with the remote is not working
the locks and alarm work by manually using the key with the lock in the door
i have reprogrammed the remote fob and i hear a very faint click sound is there
maybe a relay that's not working that i can easily look for that may be the problem or is it a module board and if so does it interchange with more popular
Volvo's i only have one remote fob as of now .

    OK i flushed the remote with a product called
    Deoxit electronic cleaner then a shot of air
    let it dry installed the battery and it started
    working

    My indication that the battery was failing was the need to get much closer to the car before it would respond to the remote. A fresh battery brought back the full 30-40ft range. I think the keyless receiver/relay is under the centre console. You could hold your transmitter close to there and see if it works.

    IIRC, the batteries are not one of the more common types, and were relatively costly. Fortunately they last a long time.

      Any idea what battery the things take? Mine had a fairly common battery in them when i got them and they never worked even with new ones. Makes me wonder.

        When I need those batteries I have to go to a nearby Interstate battery store for them. Radio Shack is farther away for me, but they might have them, too.

        The number, if I remember correctly, is CR1220. The fob is easy to open. After reading the arrows and words on the back of it use a nickel and twist. Note the arrow to locate the "lid" to get it back on easily.

          That might explain why I can't get the things to work. THey came with CR2025 batts in them. I think someone tried to shove them in the hole and they don't seat all the way down far enough to make contact The 1220 is quite a bit smaller an d that looks like it would set down inside the contacts instead of resting on top. I'll have to give that a try.

            it take's 2 1220s but i think the flushing out with the
            electronic cleaner did the trick the battery's were good
            it was dirt in the board that was messing up the signal
