Hi everyone,
My brother owns a 89 volvo 240 sedan. The car oil and battery warning lights stay on after the car has been shut off (no key in ignition). He stated that he smelled some burnt wiring but, the electrical is still working (i.e. head and tail lights, radio, blower motor etc.), and the car runs fine. The only problem that I know of is the dash lights stopped working about 1 year ago, but has not been a problem for the other electrical components. He had the alternator and charging system checked at Autozone and it came up working fine. He also stated that when he disconnected the battery it sparked (per my brother, he did not cross the wires or ground them). I have not checked the car yet, but any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
