Hello,

Has anyone attempted repairs for the rear axle bushing locating sleeve on the Spicer rear axles?

I am referring to 2 round sleeves welded onto the rear axle for the large wrap around axle bushings.

    I put an 1800 ES rear in our PV race car and fabricated a new set of the brackets to accomodate solid aluminum bushings we used to replace the original rubber ones. Don't remember anything being particularly problematic. Think I had brackets machined out of stock, cut them in half and welded them on.

      Hello,

      That is exactly what we wound up doing.

      We made extras for future sufferers.

      We are also making the special rear shock lower spacer that is forever being lost when cheap shocks are installed.
