Dear AlanBurns,

Hope you're well. According to the Volvo Pocket data booklet: cars - 700,800,900 (1991-96), the Aisin-Warner trannies installed 960s take Dexron III / Mercon Automatic Tranmission Fluid (ATF). This is available at almost all auto supply stores, including Wal-Mart de Mexico.

If you have lost most of the ATF, consider flushing with 12 quarts of Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF. The tranny holds nine quarters; a dozen quarts ensures you can remove all the old fluid. See the FAQs for this procedure.
