Needs new rockers - what, where to buy and how to install 200 1984

My passenger-side rocker panel ceased to exist several years ago. I fashioned a new one out of sheet metal, but it also is starting to rust away. (My fault for not making one of aluminum.)

I've found two vendors that sell rockers - Mills Supply and Tabco. Both sell two types of rockers as shown in the link below:

My questions are:
What is the difference between the two types?
Do body panels come primed or is it bare metal?
How are these installed - welding, rivets, duct tape?
Does anyone have experience with the two vendors?

Thanks. Keep rolling.

A body shop did the rockers on my '80. Within 5 years they were rusted out. I replaced them with galvanized sheet metal (inside wall of old pop machine). Pop riveted and sheet metal screws. (Welding not recommended because of zinc fumes.) Still holding after many years.

Since the replacement panels are expected to be welded on, they'll probably rust our after a few years.

BTW, while you are in there, block off the rockers at the front by the door hinge and open up a hole to allow exit of water and leaves. Rockers may last longer.
