Cannot find a/c hose for 93 240 200 1993

The hose (p/n 9432505) from the a/c compressor to the accumulator/receiver (runs across the top of the engine) is leaking from the metal tube at the bottom. However, the part is obsolete and is not carried by Volvo or FCP Groton.

Does anyone know of a source or where a hose can be fabricated?

    I found a 1992 240 in a junk yard and I was pulling the power steering bracket off of it and figured I would grab the AC hose that runs across the top and plugs into the left (driver) side of the AC compressor (located below the power steering pump). I didn't realize the hose was supposedly different between the 92 and 93 - they looked real similar. Can I use this hose from 92? If not, does anyone know how is it different?

      Different hose. IIRC, the only difference is that the fittings on the '92 are American standard threads, and the '93 metric. I posted about the problem last year. The hose is difficult to make (my Parker hose place botched the job, and an aluminum welder a mechanic recommended was unable to fix it) and very difficult to find.

        I found your post from last year - did you ever come up with a fix? Or just going without AC?

          Got a guy on Turbobricks to hunt one down for me from the California junkyards. Even a scarred up used hose works better than the one Parker tried to make for me. They wound up refunding the $170 I paid them to make the hose.

    Hi - - I have the same situation - exactly. 1993 VOLVO 240 non turbo

    I am removing mine this week end and sending it to: CENTURY AUTO AIR 867 WEST DRANT RD IN TUCSON AZ 85705. I spoke with Todd and believe he is a good man. Jennifer runs the place. This recomended by a aVolvo repair web page. $50 + return shipping...

        This repair was good. The hose came back from Century Auto Air BETTER than new! It took a week to turn around. I am just picking this up so

    Hi: Looks like we all may need to get parts fabricated as Volvo and aftermarket stop production.

    Look at your local hydraulic hose fabricators like Parker. You should be able to search on line for Parker Hydraulic hoses and find a store near you.

      Forgot to add that you will need to take the hose with fittings to bring to the store for an exact replacement. Make sure the you take the fittings off with care as they may have to be reused.
