Sun roof removal 740. 700

I am trying and failing to remove the sunroof from my 1988 740 wagon. All of the instructions I read talk about two clips accessed with pointed nose pliers to remove the trim. I must be blind because I can't find them. Are they under the trim at the front of the sun roof or the rear? All I can see are two springs which hold the trin under the flap. Help! Bruin.

In the meantime. Close the sunroof then open it in the vent position. From outside the car the clips are accessed at the rear. Once released,close the roof. Now you have to grab the inside headliner on the roof and pull/slide to the rear to expose the mechanism/screws/bolts.
