Hi all,
I've got a 1990 245 M37 that just needs too much work after serial neglect by previous owners. It needs all of the suspension tended to except the rear shocks, blower motor squeals, power windows aren't working (just switches, though), door locks don't function properly, odometer broken (has around 200,000 miles), etc. The body is solid (doors and fenders are solid & rust-free), I replaced the AMM recently, so there are no codes, engine has decent compression, but tranny isn't terribly smooth, and interior isn't great. The car has a "rebuilt" title.
I'm wondering if the value of the parts would make it worth parting out vs. just sending to the scrap yard? Maybe just try to sell it whole (it runs and has passed our smog test) for a couple hundred? My SO isn't fond of having a carcass in the yard for a long period of time, either--need to maintain domestic tranquility.
Thoughts?
