960 PNP Switch/Stuck 705 Code 900 1997

I replace the PNP switch; everything works now except I have a 705 code as soon as the Tranny ECU completes it's diagnostics upon start up.

I have reset the code with my PC program a number of times; but, to no avail.

I tried rowing the shift lever, then removed the battery ground for about five minutes...no change upon start up.

The transmission behaves normally and the backup light works as designed.

Ideas?
