I know the FAQ says that 240s are different, but what about 260s...?

I wrote about that not too long ago. I was trying to fit a 780 seat in my 745T winterbeater, as the 780 seats are far more comfy.

Unfortunately, the rails of the 780 seat do not fit in the 740 floor holes. I dont know about a 900 series, but would suspect to be the same problem.

BUT what I did was to take off the lower part of the 780 seat (the cushion and leather all together) and got it on my 740 seat. This is probably a 45-60 minutes operation as I recall, undoing the seats, undoing the cushion springs underneath, then putting everything back together.

If you mean a 260 Bertone fitting a 7/9 car, I am nearly positive that they won't. Someone wrote about a 780 Bertone seat fitting, I seem to recall the seat bottom may interchange but not the rest. You could do a search though. This last I mentioned was last summer/fall sometime.
