93 regina 945 bogs with throttle, and stalls at idle 900 1993

My 93 945 with the rex/regina fuel/spark system doesn't run properly.

when started, it will idle ok for a while, eventually, it will start to stumble a bit, and then it will just die.
If you try to give it throttle, it will bog, unless you feather the throttle, then you can get some revs out of it.

When driving, it chugs on throttle, runs poorly, and sometimes stalls under decel.

Either way, it seems to run fine until it warms up a little, or you try to give it gas.

So far I've figured out it's not a Fuel Pump, FPR, Clogged catalytic converter or MAP sensor...

Any Ideas folks?

If the engine dies went it gets hot and it does not start again until it cools. The problem is the RPM sensor.

It's not that, it'll start right up again after it dies.

Maybe, but you can check for a faulty sensor with the OBD unit,
      see the FAQ

I don't know the 945 very well. I think the OBD started in 1996. The 93 regina may have a code reader near the strut on driver side. I had the RPM problem. The car was acting very similar. I did not get a code or engine light ON. Though as soon as I replaced the RPM sensor the problem was gone.

I had similar issues. I thought it was not the fuel pump, but the pressure was borderline. When I went to test the fuel volume, there was not enough pressure to the return line, so this led me to the problem.

check the faq section for poor running links in the faq welcome page

mine kinda did the same stuff. I had a bad knock and coolant temp sensor connection.

also the cold start connector connx under the manifold was really full of dirt

also think about the fuel pump relay

    check all vacuum lines

    let us know

Although you say that you've figured out it's not a fuel pump issue, it sure sounds like a fuel PRESSURE issue to me.

Check the fuel pressure and post back.

I tend to agree with it sounding like a fuel delivery issue. Both my 740 & 940 ran as you described until replacing the fuel pump. Interesting story about fuel pump replacement on my 740:

My 740 had 300,000 plus on it and died on afternoon. Next day it started up like nothing was wrong, so I promptly put it in drive and started driving home. About 10 miles into my "journey" it died again. After towing it and replacing the fuel pump it would start & idle but not run well enough to drive. I chased every possible part I could to find out that the store sold me the low pressure pump for a 2 pump system. Once the correct single high pressure pump was installed, it ran very well.

      Good luck with you brick!
