1986 Volvo 740 GLE, Sedan, Engine: B230F: Left Rear Window Lift Regulator Plastic Bracket 700 1986

Hello "Brickboard" Volvo Members,

I need help in identifying, knowing the name, and locating where to purchase a specific Part for my 1986 740 GLE Volvo, Sedan, Engine: L4-2316cc/Gas, FI: B230F.

I am referring to a Part or component for the Left Rear (Driver side) Door-Window "Window Lift Regulator", it is sort of a "mounting bracket" made of plastic (beige, tan color) that holds and mounts the Window Lift Regulator.

I don't know the name of this Part, or where to locate and/or purchase this plastic mounting bracket, and if this Part in my 1986 Volvo 740 GLE was superseded by the Part in the 1992 740 GLE version.

The diagram pictured in most Volvo old parts wholesalers does not show this "plastic mounting bracket" for the Window Lift Regulator, which is another component, and is not shown as the "plastic mounting bracket" where the Lift Regulator sits, or mounts on against the back inside door.

Can you please help?

    Is that the thing that looks like a tuning fork, 6-7" long? I believe the design changes starting in about 1991 with a differnt method of attachment. The best place to get this kind of part is a junkyard, like U-Pull-It.
