1961 P210 DUETT needs new home 444-544

Hi PV folks, I have a 1961 P210 Duett B16 that needs a new home. I was rather
ambitious and started collecting Duetts without a real plan on what to do with
all of them. This car is all original, never restored i.e. rusty with a 6V B16
and roll-down rear windows.. It is all there except Coil and front center
steering link. It was the stereotypical Professor's car who drove it to the
junkyard where it sat for 15 years or so. Here is a link to a photo of me
getting it from Carl Drennen's place in Ravenna Ohio.

It now resides in Stone Mountain GA 30088. If you need more info, call or
e-mail.

Well, I am facing the New Year with three less Duetts. Dave West out of Hayesville NC came and saw the one and bought two others. I did drag a 1970 1800E home from Richmond VA so I don't feel too deprived.

I don't need a project but I would like a Duett someday. I'm just saying Hi. I believe that I was parked next to you at the BMW show in SC in October. I have the blue PV.

Looks like a close mate to my '60 P210 (titled as a '61 - chassis number 40925). Any idea what the chassis number is on yours?

The Chassis # 41572, so very close. I think yours is in a little better shape.
I am thinking about using this one as parts to fix the one in Florida if the price is right.

Hi Folks. I have two 61's here in Nova Scotia. No. 41546 and 41559. The Sisters or Dueling Duetts. Good to see the numbers here. Take care and have fun... Paul

        That would be great idea!

The car in Florida is really a '66.

Somebody went and looked at that car. He sent me this info:

"54893 miles on odometer. Engine looks to be rebuilt. Vin plate says type 21134 f 81846 226-243. Has bondo on body not sure how much not much rust on underside and its undercoated. Damage seems to be on ball joint or passenger side suspension parts. Rails on the car are undamaged"

That sounds fixable. I am getting a 70 1800E over Christmas that is in fair shape but needs a complete restoration. While I have the borrowed trailer, I might just head down to Jacksonville to check it out. The 61 is restorable, but it needs absolutely everything done to it. A 66 with roll done rear windows might be feasible.
