I have some close up shots I could email you if needed. I took the same pictures when I redid my carbs and intake. Let me know.

Dave,

Thanks for the post. One question. On your carbs(which look sweet) the spring that actuates the butterfly is a torsion spring installed around the pivot bolt on the butterfly lever. On mine, the nearest carb mounting bolt has a washer with a tab that holds a coil spring that attaches to the lever, not a torsion style spring. Is this normal? Is it just a function of mine being a 64 and yours a 68?

thanks for any help,

John

The carb setup is a little different on the late 67/68s (as are some other things). The strange lever wrapped around the spring is to open some butterflies in the exhaust manifold (if they are still there, many have been removed). The intake and exhaust manifold is a cast iron unit type with dual down tubes. its a little different from your 64 but my other Volvo is a B16 so it would be even less help!

Cheers!

I don't know where these came from for sure but I believe they are from http://www.su-filters.com/
I have a set with 122s badge and amazon logo on them. This fella is branching out into other components too. Have a look.
