Luck is definitely a handy thing to have on your side getting things apart on the fender side of the hose. You need some quality flare/line wrenches.
FWIW, since I was replacing the hoses on our 740, I had luck freeing up the seized hose/hard-line fittings by wrapping the crimped part of the hose with sopping wet paper towels, then hitting the female fitting (on the hose) with a MAPP torch for just a few seconds, then wrapping the male fitting (on the hard line) with more sopping wet paper towels (it sizzles a bit). This loosened the otherwise seized fittings right up.
