SU Needle set screws? Also: SM needles? 120-130

I've been tinkering with my SU's and pulled them apart this afternoon. In the process I seem to have misplaced one of the needle fixing screws. An M5x1.00 feels like it fits but I'm hesitant to try and snug it up without confirmation it's the correct size and pitch.

Also, the needles are "SM" variety. Should I swap to the KD or DX profile that seems to be much more common? The SM's look like they run much leaner on the top half of the power band. Car is a B18 automatic, all stock internally as far as I know.

SM: red line
KD: green line
DX: yellow line

    What motor do you have?

A proper 115HP B18B or B20B is great with KD or KN needles, but if you have something funky like a B18D, or a low compression B18B or something else, then there are needles for those too.

If you don't know what you have, then I'd always use KD or KN (or BBB for HIF6's)

I doubt that a British carburetor from that era uses any metric fasteners. Sorry, I don't know what it is. There were several common British threads in those days, with some of the fasteners being Whitworth. It might also be the English thread system that was used on American machinery at the time.

I don't know why I didn't just pull the other set screw to match it up before, but it looks like it's nearly a perfect fit with a 10-28 thread.
