While the front corner lights appear to have the same lense as the 90 and up 7/900 they did in fact change. They don't appear to interchange (or at least not without modifying them)

Can anyone confirm that it was model year 1993 that the change occurred? Has anyone done a satisfactory modification for interchange?

The corner light I grabbed out of the box turned out to be one for a car with foglights. I was unaware of the difference and didn't remember the car in the pull and pay I got it from.

So, of course, John is correct the difference is between cars with foglights and those without.

I'm pretty sure they're the same thru the whole stretch of 1990-1995, but there are 2 different versions throughout that period. Cars with foglights have turn lenses with smaller fronts than cars without. perhaps that's the problem?

Well, I'll dig a little deeper and see what I can come up with. I happen to have a 92 with foglights in the stable at the present time as well as these other two misfits so I will have a look again and postback.

They differ between turbos and NA ??

I only have turbos in the 7/9 series. I got a couple of nice headlights off of a 1993 944 at the pick and pay several weeks ago. One was missing a corner light and I had a couple of extras ant thought I would just put one in before putting the headlights on the shelf.

The corner light did not fit. I assumed they had just changed the design for some reason. However, the headlights and one corner light did come from a NA sedan.

Why in the world would they change the design of the corner lights between turbo and NA cars. That seems really dumb.

As John said, it is the plastic headlight vs. the glass headlight using different respective corners.
