Fuel injected 122s 120-130

My 122s has a b20 from a fuel injected p1800. But my b20 now is carburated with a weber. How hard would it be to convert back to a fuel injected motor. What would I need to do it and how much?

Have a look at 1800.philes.com - there is a path to a website there where this has been done on a 120.

Asking for trouble ...unless you are a 70's electronics hobbyist. No real gain that i can see. If the weber is working stay with that, if the weber fails either go back to the fuel system that made the volvos so trustworthy (SUs) or install Megasquirt (or similar). There are definitely some people here who know and love the D-jet but it is a speciality all to itself and the bits are expensive and if I was going on a long trip I would need an extra of all the bits as they are all 30+ years old at this point and I have been stuck with old electronics in small towns before and it was long and expensive and after installing used parts and paying for a hotel for 3 days I could have bought professionally re coned SU's and new tires for the money. Have fun

It might be best to just find yourself an old rusted-out donor car with a d-jet system still in it. You could probably snatch the whole car for the price of one of the components (like the di$tributor, or the manifold pre$$ure $ensor....).

    Ah done that.

You'll need the manifold, injectors, pump, regulator, computer, relays, wiring harness, sensors, and such (it would take a while to list every bit). You can go full D-jet (B20E/F) with little trouble. K-jet (B20F) requires some significant rework to get the setup to fit.

MegaSquirt FI is a pretty common project and can be done with minimal original parts. Others can comment on it better than I.

I went D-jet because it is nearly bolt-in if you have all the parts handy...

What are the benefits? I ask as my wagon has a B20F which has been plugged and retrofitted with a Weber carb. I’d intended to get my money out of the Weber and then shift to a dual-SU setup. Does it make sense to try and re-inject the engine?

No sense in re injecting unless you are an injection hobbyist. The SUs are bullet proof and give reliable good performance. If I had all the FI bits on the workbench in front of me or had to drop $400 on a decent set of SUs I would go with the SUs
