Can strut inserts be changed out on the car if you are pulling the control arms? 200 1986

I am getting ready to do strut inserts and control arm bushings. I have done endless searches on the subject. Can I still do the strut inserts on the car if I am also pullng the control arm as well?

Hi Jeff,

Combine the two jobs efficiently without adding brake hydraulics to the list?

I suppose I'd do the on-car strut insert replacements first, with the sloppier old control arm bushings in place, to make it a little easier clearing the fender with the strut mount. Then, inserts installed, button up the top end before attacking the control arm bushing. Am I envisioning things right?
