SEATBELT WARNING LIGHT/BUZZER 200 1987

How does one align the driver side seatbelt strap to lock and prevent the buzzer/light from sending the annoyoing flashing red light and sound? I have tried so many times to loosen the bolt, adjust the angle of the seatbelt receiver/lock and played around with the black wire (ground, looking for loose connection)located near the center console.

When the vehicle is stationary and on idle with the seatbelt locked, everything seems ok, but when the vehicle starts to roll, there are angles/vehicle turns that trigger the seatbelt light indicator.

How should I approach this?

Then I think you have found that the wiring fault is in the seat belt arm. May be able to do some comparison with the other seat's arm if that is working correctly.

Thanks, the passenger side is working fine. Does anybody know how to pry open the seat belt arm plastic housing without doing further damage to be able to check on the circuit?

Thanks. One thing I noticed when driving, when I move the locked seatbelt, the buzzer momentarily stops and after a while goes back to buzzing again.

There wouldn't be anything to align unless a particular position masks the wiring problem. You would need to trace the whole circuit to find the loose wire or broken insulation. You could remove the buzzer.
