240 accessories 200

Hopefullly somone can help me...

I'm looking for a picture of a 240 accessory that I found.

It's a piece that bolts to the back of the drivers seat, and blocks off the area between the drivers and passenger seat. Maybe has a hand-hold on top???

If anyone has a picture, or knows what this is, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks

    Not a pet guard -- it's a *child* guard, p/n 283667-4 ... 200

Not a pet guard -- it's entitled a *child* guard, p/n 283667-4 ... it keeps the kids from climbing over from the rear to the front seats (in the days before mandatory child restraining).

      Ken-

Thanks... Here is a link to a brochure that has most of the accessories:

I have seen one of these items at least once. I have no photo of the item. I believe it was advertized as a pet guard, which was to keep rover in the rear seat area.

I have one that will be on eBay sometime in the near future. It was laying in the trunk of a 75 242 I had. I do not have pictures of it at the moment but will shortly...

Well, I wish one of you two would let me know when you post it on eBay or offer it for sale. I've got a large dog that wants to climb on the center console. He would drive the car if he could turn the key with his paws. He destroyed the last console and I'd like to foil his evil plan before I install the new one.

        Cheers,

        Steve

          Not tall enough ... 200

If he's anything like the big dogs I know, that barrier will not deter him -- he could very casually leap over it. The child guard we're talking about only is as high as the seat back, and not even as high as the headrests. You really need to install some kind of barrier (like the ones for the wagons), or else just harness him to the rear safety belts.

I'm sure this would work fine. He's not a wild animal. As long as he can lick my ear, he's ok, but if there is a big gap between the seat, he's tempted to stand on the console. Please let me know if you post this for sale.

            Thanks,

            Steve
