The bumper fell off my 90 240 wagon while going over a speed bump last week. The mounting holes are shot, the reason for it falling off. It looks like aluminum or some alloy of it. Any ideas on how to re-attach it. Really don't want to use a 4x6 for a bumper.... The link is the pics of the damage.

    You can fix it with bolts & fender washers but it won't hold up for long.

    Definitely a corrosion failure... as Pageda said. You might want to check the front bumper as well as running over it would be really bad.
