I thought that I would submit a pic of one side of the fuel tank from my 88 780 before I started "welding" it back up. I will send a full pictoral to Steve after the job is finished, hopefully with materials at hand, just to make it a more approachable job for the DYIer (if it works!).

      Well, the fellow that had this car was a scrapper up in Calhoun, Ga. You might remember the Craig's list posting here where he said that if the car was not purchased in two days, it was going to be scrapped. I believe that it was he, and not the converter thieves that cut the gas tank in order to legally crush the car. I am also suspicious that the same saw was used on the converter.

      In any regards, I got a good deal for $400.00 and the tank is repairable.
