Yes,
One of the most common issues in fact is a failure of both the Odometer and trip odometer, but normally both fail because of a gear tooth breaking off. Never read of only the trip part not working.
If you firmly reset the reset button several times in a row see if that fixes it. Had a unit with bound gears and that fixed it!
You can find a good write up on replacing a gear and a how too take it apart at href="http://cleanflametrap.com/speedo5/"> Art Benstein's Cleanflametrap.com. That will help you remove and check out the gears if the reset trick does not work.
If you do find you need a new gear I would go to this Link and buy a gear. Most likely you will need just the 25 tooth gear listed under the heading,
200 Series 25 tooth gear
25 tooth gear for 200 series
(Order this one if you aren't sure. It will fit all units)
Installed one of these a couple of years back. It is a much tougher gear and does not have the issue with teeth breaking that the original did. Found out about him from the BB, and lot of folks have used this guy. Never seen anything negative at all about the company or the part.
Good Luck and hope this helps,
Paul
