A bad driveshft support bearing, it has been my experience twice, sounds like an orchestra organized around one chord varying throughout several octaves as speed increases or decreases. It's shocking at first and then as you travel home or to a garage before it blows up and wrecks the rubbers mounting collar, you can actually play a sonnet or two!
