I have come across the exact situation....Bought a 1992 960, the left blinker flashed twice as fast as the right...checked all the bulbs,( it's a wagon)...and found that the left front socket was corroded some...cleaned it with a wire brush, put in a new bulb; but still had the same problem...looking at the socket it seemed the contacts weren't seating very well...I bent them some and haven't had a problem since May of '08...
