Can I buy a new connector/pigtail for my windscreen washer motors somewhere? 200 1989

So, I noticed that the windshield washer on my '89 240 had stopped working.

Turns out, the wires to the windscreen fluid pump is shot. Not only that, the wires have broken off right at the connector(can't just re-splice them) and the connector itself is in pretty nasty shape. No biggie, right? I'll just wander on over to ye olde picke and pulle and cut one off of another car!

Except, the only PNP local to me kind of sucks when it comes to swedish cars. IF you need stuff from any of the big three, or any Japanese or German, you're set. Heck, they've even got some British and Italian cars kicking around usually. Swedes? Not on your life. I've seen maybe 5 RWD Volvos and a few Saabs in all the years I've been going there. Heck, they've got more AMC stuff than they do Swedish.

So, is there a place I can buy these new? (besides the stealership, I mean)

Take a close look at some of the other Euro cars. You might just find a connector that is just like what you want. There are a lot of the same components to be found on VW and Audi's

Link to new connetors, relays, etc. 200 1989

http://order.waytekwire.com

They sell NEW replacements for the connectors, the pins to go in them, the tools to crimp the pins, etc. They also sell good waterproof fuse holders and direct replacements for the relays used in Volvos. So if you are serious about wanting to rework the connections under the hood, this is the place to go.

Good prices and good people to deal with.

And no, I'm not related and don't work for them. :^)

Is your car a 244 or a 245? I know on our first 89 244(gave its life saving lives), there was a spare connector that only got used on 245s in the harness. You might want to pull the washer tank and see if there is a spare under there that isn't used... if so, slice and splice!

Finally, If you post a picture of the connector you need, I'll go through my box of "pig tails" that I have taken from two organ donors, including our original 89 244.

Donor car connector and splice is about you best bet on those. Only other option is a direct wire to the motor and a butt splice.
