Hesitation & engine light come on for a second when driving over large bumps 200 1990

My 90 240 Wagon (which I just bought from a single owner this summer @ 256K km's) hesitates (RPMs drop quite a bit) and the check engine light flashes whenever I go over severe bumps in transit. Seems to be a loose wire somewhere which wiggles loose for only a second and then reconnects after the bump. It seems to be causing the car to go into 'limp mode' for that split second, therefore dropping engine power? It seems to happen much worse when I have a large load in the back of the wagon. I also recently added new shocks (Boge Turbo Gas) and new heavy duty springs.

Also, about a month ago, the check engine light came on and stayed on but was the result of a loose connection to the knock sensor. I haven't had a chance to check it again, but could this problem be caused by anything else?

Thanks,
Cton.
