(1) Dual outlet exhaust manifold, used. Flaking paint and minor surface rust. One broken stud will need to be replaced. Looks like it was used then sat in covered storage for a long while. (1) Cloyes timing gear set, new. The crank gear is steel and the cam gear is aluminum. This is a factory Cloyes set purchased new approximately 2 months ago. $90.00, includes ground or parcel post shipping to the US.

(1) Pair of new, original Volvo, 122S fender badges. These are the ones for '65 (I believe) and later 122s. The are approximately 2" tall by 1.25" wide and they are silver, black, and red. They have '122' and 'S' on them. New these cost around $48 EACH. This PAIR is available for $57.50, including ground or parcel post shipping to the US.

My sincere apologies for ruffling your feathers.

The classifieds are very limited and very boring. The forums are not. I thought I would try to help a fellow Volvo enthusiast. My parts are very nice and they are priced to sell, so someone here at BrickBoard may be able to find the part they need at a great price without having to brave the ebay jungle.

Maybe wash your car instead of provide Internet advice

Or better yet come find me and we'll communicate in a way in which the rest of the world will not see

At the risk of furthering the issue, I think George meant "all" referring to the forums instead of the classifieds. I'm not sure why he offered a suggestion to your post in particular as this sort of postings happens all the time.

I'd agree that the classifieds don't have a lot of excitement, but ask yourself if the "excitement" your response will generate, is the sort of excitement you are really looking for.

You "apologize" in one sentence and come right back with a "mind your own business" insult. You could have easily been more tactful.

The board does not benefit from this sort of implied hostility.

George made other statements in my post in either the 1800 or 140 forum (because some of the parts will work on several different model cars) aimed at my posts which were much more 'pointed' and potentially 'harsh'. That's why I replied so harshly here.

I just think, to quote the musician Ben Harper, that "if I'm causin' no harm it shouldn't bother you".

I did not know that I would cause a stir.

It's kinda like Congress spending days talking with MLB players about steroid abuse. Aren't there more important things to worry and talk about?
