Floyd Clymer manual 444-544

While roaming around Amazon (the book website, not the car...) I came across this. It is a recently released reproduction of the 1968 Floyd Clymer manual for PVs. I have several different manuals for the PV and feel that this is the best short of having a complete set of the Volvo green manuals. I have not seen it anywhere else including ebay. It sells for $34.95 which I believe is less than what I paid for my 1964 edition. Anyone know anything about this?

I bought my original version around 1969 and used it extensively on my first 544 Sport. It had an orange cover and did include the Amazon and 1800, although the majority was on the PV. It was originally sold for $5 I believe. It's essentially a compilation of the Volvo green books, with some B16 info as well as the B18. The Amazon.Com listing about 1944 is a bit incorrect but it does primarily cover Volvos sold in North America. The first chapter contains a brief history of Volvo and a personal test of a late 50s PV544 by Floyd Clymer himself, in Sweden. There is also an early review of a 122-S in North America. Good nostalgic pictures and again a compilation of available technical manuals of the period.

I'm sold. My copy should be here in a few days. By the way, I've moved on to the interior of the old girl. Just got new door panels, kick panels, and vinyl for the rear side panels. It'll be the first time this car's had an interior in it in about 4 years (aside from beat-up seats).

I'll try to get some pictures posted next week. I plan to do the majority of the work this weekend, assuming my wife doesn't go into labor between now and then. ;-)

Cool. Always looking for good PV documentation - preferably in English. ;)
Thanks Bob!
