won't start, code 1-1-1, wife shakes head 200 1993

My 1993 245 wouldn't start with a code 2-3-1. So i replaced tank fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. I now hear the tank pump buzz and fuel spurted out of the pressure regulator the first time i clamped it down.
It still won't start. There is no spark. I also replaced the ignition coil and tried a spare Air Mass Meter, but no start. Both computers give me just a 1-1-1 reply after trying to start it.
I'm cleaning electrical contacts wherever i find them now. In 1992, by luck, i found a crummy contact on the computer on my 1984 240 by squeezing it. I also found a tenuous contact in a three-wire white plastic connector under the glovebox on the 1984 model.
Do any of you have experience of where you found lousy contacts in a late model 240?
Or what you think i should check next? I love this car and my wife thinks euthanasia (vehicle) is preferred to towing it to a Volvo dealer. Help (please).

The 25amp inline fuse. sits in a harness between the coil and the battery. The fitting gets overheated and corroded as well as the fuse

Also the power stage connector and its ground.
it hides Beside the battery on the fender wall.

These were no start items on my 91
