240 desecration ? 200

Hello 240 people.
I have the B20 engine from my dads 75 240. the exhaust manifold has 4 little tubes running from it for emmisions.
My question is, would it be a bad thing to remove these little tubes and weld the holes closed? I ask because I hate to modify something that might have value to someone.
Having just sold a double pipe outlet manifold on Ebay I see they are very desirable. Any input is appreciated
thanks wilbur

The one I have has plugs screwed in the holes. That might be a good option
rather than welding, which MAY crack the manifold.

Try the question in the 140 forum. B20s were found in the 140 series but only in the '75-240 (after that it was B21s and B23s).
