Very easy to do! I posted something a couple of years ago when I first did it, but never did a formal write-up. I needed an electric gauge because I installed a B21 into my '65 122 and the mechanical sensor is too long for the B21 block. I wanted a gauge that looked stock, and not an aftermarket one that was mounted under the dash.
Basically, you need an old 122/544 temperature gauge-> you only need face and back plates. You need a 240 ('81-on) temperature gauge (I secured with silicone the old 122 T-gauge face to the 240 gauge), resistor, and volt stabilzer. You need to insulate the gauge power from the ground, which I used fiber computer boards from Radio Shack and filled the back with silcone to help secure everything.
