wanted to ask fellow brickboarders a question- will a backseat from a 164 fit into a 142rear?thanks.

The rear seat from any 140/160 will interchange but the four door seat has rounded front corners while the 2 door seat follows the side wall and has squared off front corners. I used a 242 GT interior in my '69 144. Switching the seat frame to the 140 tracks and getting it mounted low enough took some finagling but the rear seats fit in and weigh much less than the real furniture structure of the 140 rear seat--but not nearly as comfortable--too squishy soft. Luckily only my dogs ever ride in the back and they're just happy to be going out.

Hi,
Though not 100% positive, I am 99% sure it will. Maybe someone else on the BB will add that 1%.
I believe someone on the BB dropped one right into a 122.

I would expect it to be wider than the 122 seat (as the front seats are).
Does mount the same way though.
