Swapping Steering Wheels? 120-130 1968

I think I remember a post about this some time ago, but I didn't see it in the search. So here it is again...

Can I swap my 1968 "Bow-tie" steering wheel with an older style wheel? I remember there being a concern about the '68 and on collapsable steering. Any horn problems?

Any ideas?

If you're wondering why ... I like the look of a pre68 wheel better.

I have a 69. Ill buy your bow tie wheel if your happy with the swap. I have a horn ring for the early wheel if you need one.Good Luck.

I'll let you know in the Spring. The car's asleep for the winter right now.

I'll let you know. Or send me an e-mail in a few months.

The early wheels tend to crack worse near where the spokes join the ring.

I've got an early wheel in good condition, but I don'te want to attempt to put it on if...

1) It wouldn't work/fit
2) The horn wouldn't work
3) It presents a problem with the collapsable steering column
4) I might collapse my steering column while trying to install it

1) if it's a 122 steering wheel, it will.
2) the horn is just a wire and contact.
3) it won't. that feature is up in front of the the pedal-box
4) It won't - unless you are using a sledgehammer (and you shouldn't).
