If you can't get the debris out of the original receiver (the most likely cause of not latching) the best way to make sure a replacement will work is to trace carefully around the metal part on the belt buckle on a card that you take with you to the junkyard, and match up with the buckle on a car there. That is the one to get the new receiver from (after, of course, making sure it works properly) It shouldn't matter if the part comes from a regular or a turbo, and some 760s might work too. Look for a 90 or later to get the replacement from. They are different from earlier models. I believe they all mount to the seat in the same way, the differences are in the shape of the buckle tip, and the release button. The red plastic release buttons often crumble on the 90 and later cars. I think this is because they have a light inside, and are thin and hollow, as opposed to the solid plastic button on earlier models.
If you really want to get technical about it, there is a part number on the receiver, but you can't see it until you have removed it from the seat. Match that up, and it will work for sure.
